I obtained a degree in pharmacy and subsequently qualified as a pharmacist.  After completing three years of research, my working life was spent in the R&D departments of several major pharmaceutical companies in both scientific and managerial roles. Having recently retired I now volunteer my time in other ways and in addition to being a governor at the school I sit on an NHS research ethics committee and volunteer at the local community shop.  I also served on St Peters PCC for several years. My three children grew up in the village and between them attended the school for 12 years which is a great incentive to now give something back and help the school continue to thrive.
