Mrs Diane Hagger - Chair of Governors
I have the co-ordinating responsibility for Tewin Governors – chairing the meetings, have overall view of the committees and act as critical friend to the Headteacher.
I wanted to become a governor because I have a very long-standing relationship with the school. My grandmother, my father, myself, my 2 daughters and now my 4 grandchildren have benefited from an education here. It has a very special place in my heart. In fact, my father was instrumental in constructing the schools swimming pool, one of the first in the County.
From a professional point of view, my background is in finance, office management and at one time running a small business. I have also been on many committees in the village including the Memorial Hall for many years, during which time I helped to arrange the VE Day commemoration, the Millennium celebrations and the hall re-decoration. I also spent 8 years as a Parish Councillor, seven years of which were as the Chair.
I hope that my time on the Governing Body will helpful and I know I will enjoy supporting the school.
