Small School Big Dreams

Mrs Gail Elliott

I have lived in Tewin since 1983.

Since starting to dance at a young age, I trained as a dance teacher at the London College of Dance and Drama and hold professional and teaching qualifications, and life membership, with the major examining bodies, covering most forms of dance. For many years I taught in a Ballet School, also teaching adult classes for various organisations including ILEA, and being the choreographer for several productions in smaller London theatres.

Following a subsequent career in banking, which included management roles in retail, business and corporate sectors, I retired in 2011. The final years of this career were as a relationship manager for the Education portfolio within the Public and Community Corporate Division, where I had responsibility for managing the banking finance of Universities and Colleges in the south of England.

I originally became a Tewin School governor in 2011 serving for 6 years, during which time I was a member of the Finance Committee. I am pleased to be able to return to this role to support and help the School, as it is important that it can continue to thrive and be an integral part of the Tewin Village Community. It is a pleasure to see the children develop and grow within a safe and nurturing school, and I will do all that I can to ensure that this may continue to happen.
