I consider myself very fortunate to be working in a wonderful village school that has given me opportunities to gain experience in a range of teaching and leadership roles.
I was born and lived in Zimbabwe until I married and came to live in England where I had my four children. My experience of life living in another country and my previous career in management and accounts has all contributed in some way in my teaching career.
As a Year 6 teacher and Deputy Head I work hard to share the vision and values of our school and senior leaders in helping to drive us through changes, school improvement and maintaining good and outstanding practise.
I have taught across all key stages from Year 1 to Year 6, where I am also currently the class teacher. My experience has taught me to appreciate that children learn differently and that the well-being and happiness of children is paramount to their success. I am currently the lead teacher for Maths and ICT and have been involved in implementing change with regards to the new curriculum.
