Drop Off and Collection - Please arrive at school on time

The gate will open at 8:35am.

The morning register closes at 8.45am.

The afternoon register is taken at 1.15pm

Any children arriving after the register closes should enter through the main reception. The school secretary will take a lunch order if necessary and a late symbol will be marked in the attendance record.

If you need to collect your child during the school day for an appointment, or if you are returning them afterwards, please come to the school office first to sign your child in or out of school.

The school gates re-open at 3.15pm.

At the end of the day we ask that you wait outside your child’s class, in the playground, for the class to be dismissed by the teacher. Arriving 10 minutes early is a good way to meet other parents.

From Reception to Year 3, the class teacher will dismiss the children one at a time as she spots parents.

From Year 4 upwards, the children leave the classroom independently and meet up with parents in the school grounds.

Year 5 and 6 sign a permission slip to allow children to walk home or meet their parent on the village green to ease congestion.

Please inform the school if you are going to be late collecting your child to avoid any concerns or if someone new is picking up.

The school week consists of 32.5 hours. 

The school entrances get very busy at the start and end of the school day so if you are bringing or collecting your child by car we would ask you to please adhere to our travel plan attached. We ask that you please do not drive along Cannons Meadow or park by the school entrances or neighbouring houses. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated.

We encourage children to walk or cycle to school whenever possible.
