What's New
The cold weather has arrived but we seem to have escaped most of the snow – much to the disappointment of the children, who love to build snowmen, make snow angel imprints and do all those lovely activities that make Winter even more fun! Please take care on school journeys, whether driving or walking; Cannons Meadow in particular gets very icy and does not get gritted by the highways agency. If there are any problems in the mornings, we aim to get texts out to you by 7.30am. Likewise, if you are experiencing any difficulties, please give a call to the school office.
If you have an opportunity to pop in to our school hall, please look at the wonderful displays on creation, which is our R.E. theme at the moment. Whilst much of the media focuses on issues and conflicts in the world, sometimes we need a reminder of the wonders of our world and just how amazing it is. We are often reminded of how beautiful our environment is when visitors comment on it; our hall displays will encourage us to reflect and be thankful for all we have.
Our plans to update our dining furniture are progressing; the PTA and Friends of Tewin are supporting us in raising money for which we are very grateful. It has been on our wishlist for ages to have child-friendly tables and chairs that enhance the eating experience for all our children.

Hello everyone, What a busy time we are having!  After our fantastic science week, we are now firmly into our new topic ‘Journeys’ and the run up to Christmas. Last week we went on a Bear Hunt, learning lots of different positional language as we hunted over, under and all around for bears and identified the ones we found using non-fiction reference books. This week the children chose to travel to Australia.  We are using the book ‘Womb...
