A year in the life of Tewin

In Reception Class

• I will learn how to read
• I will act and sing in the school Nativity Play             
• I will have my own Graduation Party

In Year 1

• I will get better at reading and learn how to write
• I will perform in the Key Stage 1 Christmas Play
• I will do my Phonics screening check

In Year 2

• I will perform in the Key Stage 1 Christmas Play
• I will take my Key Stage 1 SATS in English and Maths

In Year 3

• I will have a lead role in the Key Stage 1 Christmas Play
• I will learn how to do Maypole Dancing and perform for the community on the Village Green
• I will go to an adventure park for a day.

In Year 4 

• I will learn how to swim at Stevenage Leisure Centre
• I will sing in the school choir and perform in front of an audience
• I will learn how to grown and look after vegetables in the school allotment
• I will go on a school residential for 2 nights to Cuffley Camp

In Year 5

• I will do my Cycle Proficiency test to learn how to ride my bicycle safely on the roads
• I will help my class lead the Christingle Service at St Peters Church
• I will go on a residential to Kingswood Activity Centre in Norfolk for 3 nights
• I will perform in the Key Stage 2 End of Year Production

In Year 6 

• I will have leading responsibilities around the school
• I will help my class lead the Remembrance Day Service at St Peters Church
• I will have a lead part in the Key Stage 2 End of Year Production
• I will go on a residential trip to the Isle of Wight
• I will learn about keeping myself safe in Secondary School at Crucial Crew
• I will do my Keys Stage 2 SATS
• I will go out for a celebration lunch
• I will be invited to a Pudding Party
• I will have a leavers assembly
