Online Safety

At Tewin Cowper, keeping children safe online is an important part of our safeguarding work. We follow the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2025) guidance to make sure pupils learn how to use the internet safely, kindly and responsibly. Children are taught how to recognise reliable information, how to stay safe when chatting or playing online, and what to do if something makes them feel worried or uncomfortable.

We work closely with families to support children’s digital wellbeing both in school and at home. Our systems help to filter and monitor online content, and we regularly review how we teach online safety to reflect the latest risks and opportunities.

Parents and carers play a vital role in helping children stay safe online. We encourage you to talk regularly with your child about their online experiences and to contact school if you have any concerns or need advice. Together, we can help children enjoy the digital world safely and confidently.
