What to do if you have a concern?

At Tewin Cowper Church of England Primary School, we aim to maintain open and positive communication with all members of our school community. We hope that families feel happy with their child’s experience at our school. However, if you do have a concern, it is important that you know how to raise it so that it can be addressed promptly and fairly.

In most cases, concerns can be resolved quickly by speaking with the class teacher in the first instance. If the matter needs further discussion, you may also speak with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). We are committed to listening carefully and working with families to resolve concerns in a constructive and supportive way.

If a concern cannot be resolved informally, parents and carers have the right to make a formal complaint to the Headteacher or Governing Body.

Full details of the process can be found in our Complaints Policy, which is available below and from the school office on request.
