World Book Week

World Book Week is always a cause for celebration here at Tewin Cowper.

Our 2026 World Book Week did not disappoint!

The costumes were amazing and we can see how much effort our families have put in to making the day memorable.

Thank you for helping us to ensure the children's love of books is nurtured.

This year we had a week of fun and imagination timetabled for the children.

On Tuesday our teachers did their own version of Jackanory. The teachers chose a story to read and pupils had to choose which story they wanted to listen to without knowing who was reading. Some of these books included "The Day the Crayons Quit", "Luna loves dance" and "Kensuki's Kingdom".

On Wednesday, we had a visit from Stephen Collins illustrator and author who did various activities appropriate to each class.

On Thursday we had a virtual visit from author, James Campbell, via Zoom. At the end of his session James answered questions that we have sent him from the children.
