Having read Law at Cambridge University, I became a solicitor and practised at a City law firm for 10 years, specialising in project finance. I am currently taking a career break to focus on my two young children and am pleased to be able to apply my professional experience and skills to support the local school community.

I care deeply about the power of excellent state education to transform lives and act as a driver for social mobility. I believe that every child should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, regardless of their background, and value the role that schools play in making this possible.

On a personal level, I am a passionate Newcastle United fan and a keen runner.
