Welcome to our Finch Class page!

Finch Class are a bubbly and enthusiastic class of 25. Our Class Teacher is Miss Vary and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Pedder. We love to learn, explore and discover new things and we respect each other by always being respectful, safe, honest and ready to learn.

In Maths we are moving on to Measure and Fractions! We will be using language such as 'difference between' and 'less than' and 'more than'.

In English we are using persuasive language. We will be writing persuasive toy adverts -but with a twist! We will try to convince our readers NOT to buy the toy.

Our Topic of this term is Ancient Egypt. Did you know that children in Ancient Egypt had to work? Children will learn what a Shaduf was used for and why you might not want to take a look inside a Canopic jar!

Take a look at the incredible Stone Age necklaces we have been working on in our Topic lessons below. We planned and evaluated our designs. We used textile and sculpting skills to create jewellery for a Tribe leader. Can you see beads and teeth like those found at Star Carr?
