Welcome to Kingfisher Class - Year 4
A huge warm welcome to you all! In our class you will meet 24 children along with Miss Tebbutt, Mrs Barrie and Mrs. Denison. Our class is full of energy and excitement to learn, guided by our enthusiasm for new experiences. We aim to be ready, safe, respectful and honest with ourselves and others.
In year 4 we are so lucky to be able to look after our own allotment just a short walk from the school grounds. This was kindly donated to us in late Spring 2018 and we have enjoyed tending our plot and enjoying it's produce with the whole school! Keep up to date with what we are doing at the allotments by looking at the website and our noticeboard on our class room window.
In Autumn Term of Year 4 we will be kicking off our 'Revolting Romans' topic with our Roman Workshop on Friday 13th September where we will have a real roman visitor come in to re-enact some Roman battles! Don't forget to come in all dressed up so you can really feel the part. The rest of the day will be filled with fun Roman arts and craft activities.
We start visiting the allotment from Thursday 12th September. Every Thursday, half of the class go to the allotments and tend to the plot. We try to bring back produce to use in the school kitchen, and sometimes we have allotment sales outside our classroom door - keep an ear out!
